Uniting forces - A programme for all VAUDE managers

Impetus to the project

VAUDE is an organisation whose culture of cooperation is already characterised by a high degree of trust based on an open, unprejudiced view of people. The impetus for the specific request to us came from the realisation that the entire management team would benefit greatly from a format with the following goals after the two highly fragmented Corona years:

  • Reconnect the leaders by experiencing themselves and feeling as a group, and thereby

  • reinvigorate the VAUDE leadership culture and create a sense of community in the leadership circle, which has now grown by more than 30%.

Additionally, the goal was to adjust the management work to the new market and social conditions by

  • adressing and reflecting upon current and completely new leadership challenges, and

  • learning appropriate tools and experiencing trusting collegial support.

Contents of the programme were e.g. trustful cooperation in hybrid work contexts / hybrid teams, resilience, psychological safety, tension and consent as a decision-making process, contemporary structures of regular communication, and conflict resolution.

what we did

Together with the VAUDE project team, we chose a design that on the one hand reflected the current very virtual work structures in many areas. On the other hand, in order to unite forces, all managers needed to be present together in order to physically and emotionally feel the power of such a group:

  • Co-creation of the programme in close exchange with the HR department and selected managers from all areas and hierarchies.

  • Three full-day face-to-face sessions for all managers (over sixty in total).

  • Six remote sessions in four fixed groups mixed across all leadership levels and areas.

  • Ongoing iteration of the programme based on regular feedback loops with the leadership community.

Experience and result

The programme was characterised by a high density of content and time. It was energising and challenging at the same time and thus a reflection of our working world today. It was therefore all the more gratifying that the ambitious goals for the VAUDE management community could be achieved and that we have gained a sustainable and valuable customer relationship.

What our clients say

The facilitators of subject:RESOUL live up to their name by putting a lot of "soul" into the cooperation and authentically living and giving what is the purpose of their organisation.

We simply felt in good hands and intensively accompanied at all times.

The professionalism and reliability in the planning, organisation and implementation of the content and communication of our programme - both in presence and in the virtual settings - were absolutely remarkable.

Thank you very much for your work at VAUDE.
